How do you test an AI-generated SCORM package before deployment?

Test the learning content and the receiving LMS separately. Use an exact package and build, a learner attempt, an administrator report and an exit-and-resume check before rollout.

Before deployment, review the AI-generated content with a qualified owner and test the exact SCORM ZIP in the exact receiving LMS configuration. Import and launch it, answer at least one item correctly and one incorrectly, confirm score and completion in the learner and administrator views, exit partway through, resume, and check media and keyboard access. Record the package hash, Intle build, SCORM edition, LMS version, browser, date and actual result. A successful ZIP build alone does not prove an LMS rollout works.

1. Review the course before testing the package

Check the source version and intended audience. Read every legal, safety, policy and scored statement, verify the marked answer and feedback against an authoritative source, and inspect the learner preview by keyboard and at mobile width. Intle's quality gates validate structure and technical shape; they do not establish factual accuracy or accessibility conformance. A polished preview can still teach the wrong rule. See the generation gate limits.

2. Freeze the artifact and test its import

  1. Save the generated ZIP, SCORM edition, creation date, Intle build and a SHA-256 hash. Keep the source and review decision alongside it.
  2. Ask the LMS administrator which edition and import mode are supported. Import the exact ZIP into a test course, then inspect warnings and the launch URL.
  3. Launch as a learner. Confirm that the expected sections, images, media, external links and responsive layout work in that environment. A restricted network may block external assets or connected features.
  4. Answer one item correctly and one incorrectly. Complete the course, then inspect the LMS gradebook or reporting view for the expected score, success and completion states.
  5. Start a fresh attempt, leave before completion using the LMS/player exit control, reopen the same attempt and check location, answers and feedback. Also check a second browser or device if that is part of the rollout requirement.
  6. Use keyboard navigation and a screen reader test with the actual package. Document the result and any accommodation or accessibility issue for human review.

If the package is edited, re-export it and repeat the acceptance test. SCORM ZIPs are frozen at export. Replacing an LMS upload can affect existing attempts; agree the migration with the LMS administrator before changing a live course.

What public Intle evidence currently proves

The dated SCORM Cloud record describes a 20 July 2026 reference-platform run on build bcbde6a and its 124/124 scoped flag-pack checks across two SCORM editions. A later compatibility matrix also records a 27 September 2026 scoped Blackboard Ultra learner pilot on build b55d9835. The historical records do not validate the current release on every LMS. Moodle and Canvas Intle package checks are still pending formal evidence. SCORM Cloud's own guide describes its import and course sandbox as a testing path; that vendor-documented capability is separate from Intle's dated result.

What to keep as a release record

Store expected and actual results for import, launch, one wrong/right response, score, completion, exit/resume, media, keyboard and any error log. Name the receiving LMS and exact version where available, package hash, browser, test account role, date and build. Mark an unavailable version or untested behaviour as unknown rather than converting a partial pass into a universal compatibility claim. The LMS delivery guide helps plan the receiving-system checks.

Frequently asked questions

Is a successful SCORM ZIP export enough to release a course?

No. It proves the package was produced, not that its content is correct or that your LMS accepts, launches, reports and resumes it. Review the draft and run the exact ZIP through a learner and administrator test.

Can a SCORM Cloud pass stand in for my Moodle, Canvas or Blackboard test?

No. SCORM Cloud is useful reference-platform evidence for the exact tested build and cases. Your named LMS version, plugins, import mode and reporting settings still need their own test.

What changes after I edit a published course?

Export a fresh SCORM ZIP and test it. The earlier ZIP and LMS upload do not change automatically. Ask the LMS administrator how replacing the upload affects attempts and records.
