AI assessment generator for training
Describe the competency you need to evidence and Intle builds a reviewable scored assessment around it — pass mark, question weighting and per-question feedback included. It is built for L&D teams, compliance leads and training managers who need formal evaluations, readiness checks and gated progression rather than another informal quiz. Download the result as a SCORM 2004 or 1.2 package for LMS testing, or share it as a hosted session link.
A real generated assessment
This was generated from one brief and passes the same quality gates every package does. Click through it — every section is live.

Immediate Safeguarding Action Path
- Act on risk immediately if the adult may be unsafe.
- Record observed facts and the adult's own words.
- Follow reporting and escalation routes even when disclosures are sensitive.
What every generated package includes
Six scored response modes, not just multiple choice
The live safeguarding example spreads single-select, multi-select, ordering, matching, true/false and short-text across its ten scored questions, so the same duties are tested from different angles rather than pattern-matched. The short-text item accepts listed alternative answers — "quotation marks", "speech marks" and "inverted commas" all mark correct. With the graded decision scenario, that makes 11 scored items in the pass calculation.
A pass mark and scored-item set you control
Every assessment ships a final-assessment block: a pass-mark percentage (80% in the live example), the explicit list of scored question IDs, a total-points count and a review-after-submission setting. Each question also carries its own weighting field. That is what turns a set of questions into a defensible training record.
Every answer explained, with the common mistake named
Each scored item pairs its correct answer with a "why" explanation, a common-mistake note and a named statutory reference — in the live example, Care Act 2014 statutory guidance and Section 42 across most items, plus the Public Interest Disclosure Act 1998 on the whistleblowing question. Learners who fail see exactly where and why.
Graded decision scenarios with written consequences
Beyond right/wrong: the example's "Witnessing Rough Handling" decision grades four responses from optimal through acceptable and poor to dangerous, each consequence written out with its own Care Act reference — including an "acceptable" trap where recording the facts without reporting first falls short.
Visuals and revision aids where they earn their place
The live example includes three comparison tables, a flowchart escalation route, a step-by-step timeline of the disclosure response, a six-card Care Act flashcard deck and a topic-level score bar chart in the results section — all generated from the same one-paragraph brief.
Assessment-grade navigation and item-level reporting
Sequential progression with back-navigation disabled, a progress bar, and each scored question mapped to its own SCORM interaction so your LMS records item-level responses, not just a completion flag. Facilitator notes stay in the authored content and are stripped from the learner-facing package.
How it works
- 1
Write a plain-language brief
Up to 5,000 characters, plus optional source files (PDF, DOCX, PPTX, images) or a URL. Intle's classifier detects that you want an assessment — or you can set the type yourself. The live example started from a single paragraph about safeguarding induction for care home staff.
- 2
Review the structure before generation
You see the planned sections, question mix and pass mark before full generation runs, and can adjust the plan rather than discovering problems in the finished package.
- 3
Generation runs against the highest interaction threshold
Assessments carry the highest interaction minimum of Intle's nine content types: at least 80% of sections must be scored or interactive. Gates also check visual density, the longest non-interactive streak and response-mode variety; violations trigger an automatic repair pass before anything is delivered.

Deliver as SCORM or a hosted session
Export a zip targeting SCORM 2004 4th Edition or 1.2, or share a hosted link that records per-participant results. Dated package-level evidence is published separately from named-LMS validation, and edits in the visual editor repackage the output.
What teams build with it
- End-of-induction competency sign-off for care and healthcare providers — evidence safeguarding knowledge against Care Act 2014 duties with a pass mark suitable for a mandatory training record, exactly as the live example does.
- Annual compliance revalidation for regulated teams — compliance officers in finance, food safety or health and safety get item-level SCORM results instead of a single completion tick.
- Readiness checks and gated progression for L&D teams — verify knowledge before enrolling staff on the next stage of a programme, with review-after-submission enabled so near-misses learn from their answers.
- Contractor and volunteer onboarding checks for operations managers — share a hosted session link that records each participant's score, with no LMS accounts to provision.

Care Certificate Safeguarding Adults Assessment
Scored safeguarding adults assessment mapped to Care Certificate Standard 10 and the Care Act 2014, using realistic care home scenarios to evidence new starters' competence.
DSE Workstation Self-Assessment
A scored workstation self-assessment under the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992 that teaches correct setup, then has each worker rate their own desk and flags issues to escalate.
Frequently asked questions
Can I export the assessment as a SCORM package?
Yes. Every assessment can be downloaded as a zip targeting SCORM 2004 4th Edition or SCORM 1.2. The package writes scored questions as SCORM interactions, but how a particular LMS surfaces that data must be verified in its exact configuration. See the dated evidence matrix and test before rollout.
Will it work in my LMS?
Packages target the SCORM 2004 4th Edition and SCORM 1.2 specifications and use standard scored interactions. We do not claim blanket platform acceptance or item-level reporting: the per-LMS matrix at /lms-compatibility publishes dated evidence and keeps untested combinations pending. Test your selected package before rollout.
How does scoring work in a generated assessment?
Each assessment includes a pass-mark percentage (80% in our live safeguarding example), a weighting per question and a defined set of scored items. Navigation is sequential with back-navigation off during the attempt, and you can allow answer review after submission. In an LMS the score and each interaction are reported via SCORM; in a hosted session, results are recorded per participant.
Can I edit the questions before anyone sits the assessment?
Yes. The visual editor lets you rewrite prompts, answers, feedback, weightings and the pass mark, and add or remove sections. Saving your changes automatically repackages the SCORM output, so the zip you download always matches what you see in the preview.
Is there a free tier?
Yes — you can generate and download assessments on the free plan. Free and Starter exports retain the Intle credit; Premium removes it. Paid plans extend hosted-session lifetimes and raise generation limits.
